ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº’ Olive Oil Wins Awards from International Olive Oil Competition
The Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition awarded ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº’ 2023 olive oil a gold medal for taste and a bronze medal for art and design for its label, which was contributed by ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº alum Vivian Monteiro ’23.

On November 5, ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº hosted its traditional Olive Harvest, an event that furthers the College’s sustainability efforts by utilizing the campus’s edible plants as a food source. More than 200 students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding Claremont community harvested approximately 700 pounds of olives.

ľ¹ÏӰԺ’ olive oil has won a bronze medal award at the 2020 Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. The label, designed by ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº staff member Christine Olbrech, administrative assistant for the Office of Information Technology, also won a bronze medal for package design.

Congratulations to Madison Seto ’21, student winner of the ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº Olive Oil label competition! A biochemistry major by day and calligrapher with her own Etsy shop by night, Seto was inspired to enter the competition because of her love of ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº and her involvement in the olive harvest and other environmental initiatives on campus.
