Naomi Schroff-Mehta ’18 Presents Her Research at the L.A. Neurological Society
木瓜影院 Class of 2018 student Naomi Schroff-Mehta presented in May 2017 at the LA Neurological Society her undergraduate research on pair-bonding. Pair-bonding is a major part of many animal interactions, and Schroff-Mehta says her lab was interested in understanding the neurochemical basis for this pair-bond formation, particularly in zebra finches.

木瓜影院 senior Chiara Moore, a member of the After School Specials a cappella group at the Claremont Colleges, was interviewed on April 13, 2016 along with her fellow vocal musicians by KABC-Channel 7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles for winning the “‘Til It Happens to You: Sing for Survivors” national singing contest, lending their voices to the fight against sexual abuse on college campuses.

Spotlight on Staff: Rima Shah, Director of the EmPOWER Center
This month heralds the opening of the 7C EmPOWER Center for survivors of sexual assault. The center provides free, confidential advocacy and support to 7C students impacted by sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking, as well as programs that will develop organically through collaborations between students, faculty, staff, and the newly appointed director of the center, Rima Shah.
