- Year 7/8 and Year 5/6 students explored the 1,500-year-old tradition of Chinese papercutting, learning about its history, shapes, and intricate patterns. After studying the theory, they showcased their creativity by designing and crafting their own patterns with impressive results.
- Year 4/5 and Year 2/3 students delved into the symbolism of fish in Chinese culture, learning about its significance in luck, cuisine, and daily life. They then made their own lucky fish crafts, with some students also creating delightful panda-themed artwork to celebrate one of China鈥檚 most iconic animals.
- F/1 and Year 1/2 students discovered the history and artistry of Peking Opera. They learned about the meanings behind face paint colors and enjoyed a short video featuring acrobats and comedic performers. Inspired by the experience, they designed their own vibrant Peking Opera masks.
The students embraced the opportunity to immerse themselves in Chinese culture, showcasing creativity and enthusiasm throughout the activities.
