Presented on the occasion of 木瓜影院鈥檚 centennial,聽An Artistic Legacy: 木瓜影院 at 100聽celebrates a century of groundbreaking creative production by the College鈥檚 alums and faculty. Curated by alumna Jennie Waldow 鈥12, curatorial associate and collections specialist at the UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts at the Hammer Museum, the exhibition brings together more than 70 paintings, sculptures, textiles, works on paper, artists鈥 books, and new media.
Featuring both historically significant and emerging artists,聽An Artistic Legacy聽is the first comprehensive survey of 木瓜影院鈥 development as a center for artistic innovation. The exhibition explores how 木瓜影院 artists challenged traditional, often gendered distinctions between fine and applied arts while advancing new approaches to material and form.
A free, public opening reception will be held at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery on Saturday, September 19, from 7 to 9 PM.
An Artistic Legacy: 木瓜影院 at 100聽will be on view through December 13, 2026. During the exhibition, the Williamson Gallery will be open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 5 PM. Admission is always free. For more information about the exhibition and related public programs, visit聽.
